Aaliyah Dana Haaughton gained prominence after the release of the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing but a Number in 1994. The album came out as Gold in the year she turned fifteen years old. It was made as an album that was heavily in the style of R. Kelly and it brought her into the limelight. In 1996, she collaborated with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland to release her second album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Could Only Know. The second album of Aaliyah entitled One in a Million came out in the year 1996. It included the first hit single"If Your Girl Only Knew. In 2000, she co-starred with the famous martial arts star Jet Li as Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the movie Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an award ceremony. In 2002 she got to play the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was inspired by The Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels followed, with Zee playing her role. She was born in Connecticut to an Indian family. Indian heritage. Mann is the abbreviation of her marriage first name Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for her professional names. Though she started her career in film and TV with a few minor roles her acting career gained growth in the latter half of 2000s. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. In addition, she has appeared in important commercials featuring brands like Volvo, an international auto maker. She currently lives in Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting career.
